After considering it for years, I’m finally selling my like-new 2006 Honda F4i. It has thousands of dollars in top-of-the-line improvements and absurdly low miles (1,554 miles).

This is a perfectly upgraded F4i with almost no miles (1,554 at the time of this writing) — top of the line and ready to ride!
This is my personal 2006 CBR 600 F4i. The bike was setup to be a daily commuter and fun for the weekends. But with two small children, I never found the time to ride it.
All improvements are tasteful and serve a purpose. Nothing tacky or low-rent. And everything was professionally installed. I purchased this bike and had it shipped from Montana at great expense over five years ago and am eating a lot of money to sell it. But it has to go — I want someone to really use it. I’m going to miss it.
This F4i is very near mint; it has been ridden only 1,554 miles. That is not a typo.
2006 is the last year they made the F4i and it is a nearly perfect sport bike, in my opinion. Despite having tons of power, this F4i has unbelievable manners and reliability.
My F4i’s upgrades amount to thousands of dollars above and beyond the MSRP of $8,499. Everything is top of the line. And I think I bought the last pair of new F4i helibars in the world — I finally found them in England!
Upgrades
Here are the upgrades:
- $499 Two Brothers carbon fiber blunt magnesium-tipped exhaust. This is the best-looking and best-sounding exhaust you can find, perfectly matched to the F4i visually and functionally. The deep note of this Two Bros. exhaust, with no shrill peaking at high levels, rumbles better and lower than my friend’s R1.
- $339 Dynojet Power Commander PCIII USB with Two Brothers tuning profile. This is the absolute best system to dial in fuel injection on a bike. This tuning profile is actually from the Dynojet factory in belgrade Montana as someone I know has contacts there.
- $139 Speedo-Healer speedometer and mileage accuracy meter tuned for the sprocket change. This takes quite some time to dial in and was GPS-corrected to verify speedometer ratio is exactly on.
- $298 Heli-bars, shipped from the U.K.

- $229 Hotbodies Racing custom-fabricated matching paint undertail with integrated signals using stock brake light and stock key lock. These has been color-match painted to the same Honda factory yellow.
- $249 Custom machined clutch and brake shorty adjustable levers, these were fabricated specifically for easy adjustment and easy reach as well as maximum pulling effectiveness, a huge difference over the stock levers and well worth the money.
- $199 Garmin nuvi GPS and custom RAM-Mount triple-clamp GPS mount. (GPS included in sale but not pictured.) GPS customized to draw power from the motorcycle, so it charges while you ride. Carefully installed without cutting any F4i cables.
- $119 Vortex machined triple clamp, looks fantastic and custom, completely sets the bike off while adding steering strength and reducing fork tube and steering flex.
- $99 Gregg’s custom-machined LED flush mount front turn signals. If you have never seen these they are amazing, CNC-machined with super bright custom LEDs that cannot be missed at night at night, impossible to not see the signal. Safety and good looks were the reason for this upgrade and Gregg’s LEDs are the best out there.
- $399 Custom-fabricated www.TygerSharkCages.com quad-bar crash cage with shock absorbing delrin sliders angled to provide maximum protection as well as cornering clearance. This cage was fabricated for maximum performance while giving the F4i a one-of-a-kind custom look.
- $199 -1 front +2 rear Vortex 520 sprocket conversion with Teflon black rear sprocket and gold EK X-Ring race chain and gold sprocket nuts. The best you can buy and a vast improvement over the stock setup, much easier to pull around town without affecting top end speed, this is one of my favorite modifications for good reason and looks great.
- $129 Second Look tank skin
- $59 Pit-Eck double bubble smoked race windscreen, absolutely a fantastic mod as much easier to tuck into and keep the wind off of your face, very easy to see through.
- $24 Pro Grip matching grips, their newest prototype dual density version just released.
Value
MSRP + Upgrades = $11,479 (not including all the labor)
My F4i is for sale for $6,500. It is priced to move. I’ll consider shipping it, but I prefer to sell it to someone in the Pinellas area to keep the transaction simple.

Exhaust Note
Here’s a video of the same model Two Brothers exhaust on an older F4i so you can hear the note. That’s exactly how mine sounds and I can’t get enough of it. The sound is music to my ears.
Summary
This bike runs like a scalded cat, has great manners and incredible torque, with the best exhaust note I’ve ever heard. I’ve never seen another one like it on the road. I waited years to be able to afford it and by the time I could, I was a dad. But I bought it anyway because my wife is super supportive. After taking care of my F4i for five years now, just putting enough miles on her to keep things running tip-top, it’s time to make the hard choice and finally sell her. Wife doesn’t care either way but I’m done fooling myself.
This F4i beats my previous bike (a pre-parenthood, new Yamaha R6) in every way that matters to me: torque, handling, mid-range power, looks and riding position. I’ve hung onto her for over five years now just because she’s so perfect. But we just had another child so I’m even busier than I’ve been for the past five years. That means even less time for riding.
This is not like every other bike on the street. It’s not even like other F4i’s. It’s the height of Honda engineering with just the right after-market upgrades to make it the best it can be. I’m sad to see her go but I’m sadder to see her languish in my garage without a regular rider. Other than my maintenance rides to keep things running, I don’t use my F4i at all and that’s such a waste.
I’m willing to wait for the right buyer who is looking for a basically brand new, tastefully upgraded Honda to enjoy. I’m not interested in parting her out, even though I’d make more money than selling her whole. I’ll consider any offers, but I’m not in a hurry to sell. I am not hard up for money but I’ll accept a reasonable cash offer. No trades, please.
I bought my F4i cash so there are no liens and there are no title oddities. There will be no surprises with this bike.

I am a real person and an honest seller. No scams, please.
If we’re not at least in the ballpark on price, I’m not going to meet you. If something seems off, I’m not going to meet you.
If you’re a serious buyer, you’ll get my phone number and my name and we’ll meet someplace very public in the Clearwater, Dunedin or Palm Harbor areas.
